How can dietetics and the team at Dietetics Done Differently help NDIS participants?

The Dietitians at Dietetics Done Differently are specialists in supporting you with your disability, nutrition and eating supports.


We take a holistic approach to support you with your health and wellbeing goals. We take the time to understand your history, your current context, and we work with you to develop a plan to help you achieve your health and wellbeing goals.


What sort of disabilities can benefit from dietetics?

We have seen some great results for people living with disabilities, including:

  • Serious mental illness and weight management

  • Psychotic disorders and improved diabetes management

  • Eating disorders and increased nutritional intake and improved cognitive functioning

  • Increased confidence and capacity in meal and snack planning in individuals with Autism and neurodiversity.

  • PTSD and reduced emotional eating

  • Neurodiversity and increased cooking skills


How do I get dietetics on my NDIS plan?

Dietetics Done Differently is the referral partner for support coordinators to assist their NDIS participants to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.


Dietetic support is funded under the following line items:

  • Capacity Building

  • Improved Health and Well-being

  • 12_025_0128_3_3 Advice provided by a Dietitian on managing diet for health and well-being

  • Improved Daily Living

  • 15_062_0128_3_3 Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training – Dietitian

  • Early Intervention Supports for Early Childhood

  • 01_760_0118_1_3 Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - EC – Dietitian
